These instructions apply to the hose, male, and female thread repairs (RP-RIHR-6, RP-RIHR-7, RP-RIFR-6, RP-RIFR-7, RP-RIMR-6, and RP-RIMR-7), pictured below.

Note: Depending on where you purchased your repair kit, the "RP-" prefix may be substituted.

1. Slotted (flat) screw driver, for kit installation

2. Utility knife, or pipe / hose cutters to cut the damaged area of your hose being repaired

Use a hose repair kit to mend a burst or damage located in the middle of your garden hose.

RIHR-6 can be used to repair any brand 5/8 - 3/4 in. (1.59 - 1.90 cm.) diameter garden hose.
RIHR-7 can be used to repair any brand 1/2 in. (1.27 cm.) diameter garden hose.

Carefully remove your hose repair kit from its packaging.

1. Remove all product packaging, and secure all individual product parts.

2. When fully disassembled, your metal hose repair kit will include (2) stainless steel clamps, and (1) hose repair coupling.

Step 1
Cut away Hose Damage

Using a utility knife, or a pipe / hose cutter, carefully cut off the damaged section of the hose.

Be sure have two clean edges on either side of the hose.

Insert Hose Repair

Slide clamps over each side of the hose.

Insert the hose repair coupling into one side of the garden hose.

Once inserted, attach the other side of the hose.

Helpful Hint! Warming your hose in the sun prior to installation will allow for easier coupling attachment.

Secure Clamps

Slide the stainless steel clamps over the edge of each side of the hose repair collar.

Hand tighten clamps to secure hose repair in place.
